One of my submission attempts for RPG Limit Break 2019 so happened to be a new PB/WR, awesome! This is a result of a lot of minor re-routs and exclusions, like passing on a few item pickups I deemed not important enough to go out of my way for. A significant time also stems from the fact that I have discovered quite a few battle skips, which can save a substantial amount of time.

My previous PB also had a game freeze, costing me about 7 minutes, and a crucial error of exiting Cold Dracke by mistake and having to go through the town/dungeon again, costing me another 10 minutes.

I also decided to skip the first town entirely for the Dagger and also skipped the final shopping spree in Cold Dracke (which saved me about 8 minutes alone due to the extensive menuing involved in that part)

My encounters early on were also nice and somewhat ideal, minimizing the amount of time I needed to grind to appropriate levels. I entered the final dungeon at level 21.

Run was deathless and had almost no major mistakes, but several minor ones. A marathon safe estimate will likely be a 5:20 to cover all bases of things that can potentially go wrong. A time with some expected deaths is likely to be more along the lines of a 4:45-5:00 time.

This speedrun was done on a real NA Panasonic model 3DO using an actual copy of the game. Played using a standard first party 3DO controller (no Turbo is present on this controller, nor would it be used otherwise ). Emulation is currently not allowed for this speedrun due to the unfair advantage of very fast load times and less lag compared to playing legit on a console. (Also, using a 3DO controller is a challenge in and of itself)
