EnglandI understand where ya coming from Dodi. It will be a while afore I finish with PC and move to console tbh. (Only so much time in the week) But one day I might. Still it is a shame there is not a lot of people loving the Dino Memes like we do.
Sure it could be dangerous but the option also detracts away from the original games design, so I do not see why it could ever become more than an extension. My reasoning is purely that most main categories to some extent feature the original game unadulterated.
OG RE3 is largely loved by a lot of runners as much as it is hated. I for one am not so interested in running a perfect version of the RNG. Yet, I think if some runners want that then it could be good for them. Yes those times would be largely the fastest when it comes down to it and sure human nature to take the easy road comes into it. But there by nature speedrunners love a challenge meaning the non-fav-RNG would likely remain just as popular.
The anticipation is killing me, I am only in practice atm with knife only but man the patch is great. I could never get the Chinese or Taiwan versions to work at all, so at current it stands my only chance to get involved. But it is not all about me - I get that! Thanks for doing this>
I have felt a Rick choices run for a while would be nice, as I like the character and Tom's Mac-10 moment But I understand why it has not been up to this point. I do feel that the alternate ending of Gail would add something fun and unique to the run. I also wish for Very Hard% as I am looking to move on from Normal any% - once the Terrys let me PB again KEKW.

Mudkicker I never realised you loved this that much. Makes me smile. Makes sense to at least seperate the PC from consoles for sure. I may one day buy a JP pS2 for playing on my crt goodness. Until then though just PC for me. Great points guys! :)
This seems like a solid plan to me, even if it means seperating the game into two, it is better than reaching no compromise at all.
I think, for the boards to be as inclusive as possible really champions what a great deal of the speedrun community represents. To make that happen change needs to be welcomed really.
I am really new so I have not a lot to say. But I agree that sep boards will be a great improvement. From my own experience getting the PS3 emulator to work can be awfully hard work. I am sure this is a small thing that might also put people off like you say.
I think that new test board looks quite clean and sensible too!
