[section=General] A Majora's Mask Practice ROM has been made by @krimtonz . This tool is far better than the Gecko Codes previously used.
It features many things such as inventory editing, a warps menu, memory watches and much more.

It has been brought up that if you are doing a category but then realize you are not going to get a new best time... can I decide to change category mid-run and do something else? Or will my run be rejected because of I'm now doing multiple runs?
You may change which category you are doing mid-run, in fact you might even switch more than once if you want. But at the end of the run you have only done one run and thus can only submit it as one run.
If you, the runner, do try to submit to multiple categories using just one run all will be rejected except for whatever is considered the end goal of the run. So if you are going to change categories, even multiple times, make sure to choose which you want to submit and only submit that one.
There is a Cyberscore board for this.
I also just added it to the Category Extensions board.
In that past this was allowed but it is no longer going to be. When you do a run for a specific goal you are doing only that goal.
An example as to what this post is referring to is this: Lets say you do a 10 Heart run. This does not mean you also did a 4 Heart run, a 5 Heart run, a 6 Heart run, a North Clock Town Tree HP run, etc... You only did a 10 Heart run.
Imagine if someone took their 100% run and submitted it to all (or almost all) categories on this board. This is not acceptable.
Any runs up to this point that did this and were verified will be left as is. But for the future all runs will be rejected except the specific one being done. Which will be considered whatever the end goal was or whatever the moderator decides to use.
It's possible when updating them I messed something up which could prevent some of the codes from running which sounds like the case.
As @MutantAura said, discord would be the best way to let me know about something like this. I just happened to look at these forums and I see this thread is already 12 days old.
Edit: I think I found the problem so they should be fixed.
I've known about this secret area that has 75 vials and 150 spirit points but never how to access it.
I've looked at old walkthoughs and such that say it opens after defeating the first 5 bosses or just once you have the Sword. Neither of those turn out to be the case. Simply having the Torch turned on in your inventory and going down there reveals the secret.
Not sure if anyone else had figured this out yet so I thought I'd make a post.
If the classic controller pro had the shoulder buttons reversed such that ZL was target and ZR was shield I probably wouldn't mind using it but having them as they are just isn't natural to me and makes it basically unuseable. I also dislike how the a/b/x/y buttons are rotated counter clockwise to how I personally think they should be (I realize they setup the look of the controller like snes, but that doesn't mean the button that says 'a' on the controller has to equal 'a' for n64). It would have been nice if they added in customizing the button input to whatever you want as part of virtual console.
[section=General] All categories are done from a Race File unless otherwise specified. So make sure to check the rules for the category before you start to make sure you are using the right type of file for it. Any submissions made not using the correct file will be rejected even if nothing advantageous is used in the run.
Using a Race File is done to get right to playing, skipping a long, static, intro.
[section=Race File] A Race File has the following:
- Magic
- South Clock Town Heart Piece
- Ocarina of Time (Equipped to a C-Button)
- Deku Mask (Not Equipped to a C-Button)
- Song of Time
- Song of Healing
- 101 Rupees in the Bank
- All Clock Town area entry Cutscenes Cleared
You are allowed to know the Bombers' Hideout and Oceanside Spider House codes for the file in advance.
There are Race Files linked in the Resources section.
As long as the ROM isn't edited in some way and cheats are not being used I don't see why it wouldn't be allowed. It would be the same as playing a normal cart on the Nintendo 64.
It's actually slower than playing on a normal cart because every time you reset you will have to go through the Everdrive menu.
You didn't read the rules.
For those you must use a new file.

Unless GIM is being used (for Light Arrows) it's not possible to get to inverted stone tower with the dungeon in an "untouched state" if the two are considered all one dungeon as you would have to open light arrow chest. It's intended to have to use 2 keys in normal stone tower, but the task takes place in inverted stone tower. It's possible to preserve one of those keys by just not using it and that would leave inverted in an "untouched state" if they are considered separate and provided you don't open any upside down chests in normal stone tower.
So just to be clear you are saying preserving the one key from normal stone tower is just not going to be allowed for this task?
I never use TAStudio so I can't help you there.
Whenever you go to continue recording a movie the Read Only option will by default be turned on so you will have to disable it either with the menu or set a hotkey for it to continue adding input.
[section=General] Finally just made my own site for the codes so the Google site is not going to be maintained. The main thing about the new site is that there is a Code Database with all the codes listed. This allows anyone to change the activators to whatever they want.
The site is ZeldaCodes.org.

Platform is the version of the game you are playing on. If you are playing the Gamecube Collector's Edition then you would use Gamecube even if you are playing it on the Wii through it's gamecube emulator.
Perhaps you should better define what you mean by void out. Initially I assumed a Deku void in the water by jumping on it is what you meant.
I found out it is possible to blow up some tiles that you are normally not suppose to be able to get. Ends up not being useful however due to it taking 7 explosives to go the bottom left route with it, when the intended path optimally only needs 6.
See here.
